Writing Rules
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
The Journal of Inequalities and Mathematical Analysis (JIMA) requires authors to strictly adhere to its specific LaTeX template and reference formatting guidelines. These requirements ensure consistency and maintain the high-quality standards of the journal.
Manuscript Formatting
1. LaTeX Template
Submissions must be prepared using the official JIMA LaTeX template.
Download the template here. Authors must follow the structural and formatting requirements outlined in the template.
2. Reference Style
Please follow the format below for references in JIMA:

3. Figures and Tables
- Figures: Provide in EPS or high-resolution PNG/JPG formats.
- Tables: Include a descriptive caption above the table. Tables and figures should be embedded at appropriate points in the manuscript.
4. Mathematical Equations
Use the align
environment to display equations. Maintain consistent notation and avoid extending line lengths.
Author Responsibilities
1. Title Page
The title page must include:
- Full names of all authors.
- Affiliations and institutional addresses for each author.
- Corresponding author's contact information, including email and ORCID.
2. Abstract
Provide a concise summary of the manuscript in no more than 300 words. The abstract should include the purpose, methodology, results, and implications.
3. Keywords
Include 3–5 relevant keywords to enhance the discoverability of your manuscript.
4. Declarations
- Data Availability: Clearly state whether the data is publicly available, available on request, or not applicable.
- Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
- Funding: Acknowledge financial support, if applicable.
References
- References must be cited numerically in the order they appear in the manuscript (e.g., [1], [2]).
- Ensure that all references are accurate, complete, and included in the bibliography.
Submission Requirements
- Submit the manuscript as a single compiled PDF for initial review.
- After acceptance, provide the source files (
.tex
,.bib
, and figures). - Manuscripts not adhering to the template will be returned for revision.
Important Notes
- LaTeX Compliance: Use LaTeX editors such as TeXMaker, TeXLive, or Overleaf to ensure compatibility.
- Accuracy of References: Verify all references before submission.
- Ethical Standards: The manuscript must comply with COPE Principles.
Informing Authors About the Decision Process
-
Referee Assignments
Each manuscript is reviewed by a minimum of two referees. However, additional referees may be assigned if the article requires specialized expertise or further evaluation. -
Decision Criteria
- If one review report is positive and the other is negative, the manuscript will be forwarded to a third referee for further consideration.
- At least two positive review reports are required for acceptance, while a single negative report is sufficient for rejection.
This ensures that the evaluation process is rigorous, fair, and aligns with the journal’s commitment to maintaining high-quality publication standards.
